Monday Made It

I have been drooling over these gorgeous glitter magnets for a while, so I figured for my first Monday Made It  I'd go ahead and try it :) This e-card made me LOL I'm glad we are on summer break so I don't have to feel guilty about making a mess with glitter in my classroom! I love the custodial staff at my school :)

Here are the materials you will need:
- Large or small glass stones that are flat on one side
- Mod Podge or other sealant
- Foam brush- Glitter - I used Tree House Studio neon glitter- Scrapbook paper that matches the color of your glitter
- E6000 glue
- Magnets

Steps to make these glittered magnets:
1. First wash the glass stones and dry them off with a paper towel.

2. Decide how many magnets of  each color you want to and group them together.

3. Get one color of glitter ready and the number of stones you need. Paint a THIN layer of Mod  Podge on the flat side of  each stone.

 3. Place the stones on a piece of paper or a paper plate and sprinkle the color glitter of your choice over the wet Mod Podge. Some people have said to dip the stones in the glitter, but this worked better for me. Let this dry for 15-20 min, or whenever the Mod Podge has turned from white to clear. Continue until you have all the stones painted with the Mod Podge and sprinkled with glitter.
4. After the 1st layer of Mod Podge has dried paint on another thin layer of Mod Podge to seal the glitter.

5. Let this dry for another 15-20 min, after this dries the glitter will be sealed in and will not fall off all year long!

6. Trace the stones onto the matching scrapbook paper and cut them out. Then, use Mod Podge to stick the scrapbook paper to the stones. Let that dry for another 15-20 min.

7. Use E6000 glue to attach the magnets to the stones ( this is not my picture LOL I forgot to take a picture of this step..whoops)

Now you are ready to spruce up your dry erase boards!
